Long Awaited Play Date

Our long-awaited playdate with the Kartzkes was finally here. They headed up to Westwood in the morning to meet their new neice, then we all met in Hermosa Beach for lunch at Cantina Real (an old favorite), followed by a walk on the strand (as long as our parking meter would allow). We all seemed to forget that parking in Hermosa on an 80 degree summer day may be a bit of a challenge, but we got lucky and got spots after not too long).

Zak wasn't a fan of holding Daddy's hand or riding in the stroller, he just wanted to run.
Paul, Carolyn, Mason & McKenzie in front of Paul and Carolyn's old places on 5th Street. It seems that Paul's place got cleaned up a little bit and all the neighbors they had once known have all moved away.

Zak trying to give McKenzie a hug. He kept trying to give her hugs, but at one point she was screaming - we thought she just didn't like being hugged, but we realized Zak was biting her. Not sure why, he typically doesn't bite. The afternoon was a bit interesting, since they didn't get their normal naps.
Since it was 90 degrees here, we decided to bring the bounce house inside... McKenzie wanted to part of being in an enclosed space with Zak, but he and Mason had fun.
